LifeCycle Cycling Education

Part of the mission of the Bike Safety, Education and Maintenance department at LifeCycle is to increase the use of bicycles for everyday activity, by teaching those new to the art of cycling the fundamentals of bike safety and maintenance. By teaching in the classroom, and outside in controlled, traffic-free environments, we are able to give children a clearer understanding of the hazards that face us on the road at every corner.

SPOKE & BC High School Mountain Biking Championships

Students Pedaling Onto Kreative Education (SPOKE), is a non-profit society dedicated to promoting mountain biking among youth in British Columbia. SPOKE's involvement at the elementary school, middle school and secondary school level is two-fold. First, it provides a club forum in which students can improve their bike handling skills, learn from elite riders and enjoy recreational cycling. SPOKE also offers group rides giving exposure to mountain biking, while building friendships, fitness and self-esteem. It is at the club level that SPOKE hopes to reach students who are interested in recreational riding and touring.
