Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
The Team and Special Events Coordinator is a year round full-time position based out of the Norco head office in Port Coquitlam, BC. The coordinator will assist the PR/Marketing Manager in the following two main categories; Planning and managing of our Factory Team riders/programs and marketing/tech support at events through the cycling season.
The position is divided with the seasons and has more inside/office work throughout the fall-winter season and more outside/event support work during the summer cycling season.
Team rider and sponsorship planning
Team coordinator for all team riders (equipment, events, filming etc)
Assist with race site and event/expo site planning
Full tech support at events (area set up and wrenching duties)
Team related communication and information flow
Assist in community and public relations at events
Be fully responsible for our tech truck, van and other equipment within department

We are looking for a dynamic person with a strong bicycle technical background and office / purchasing experience.
Assistance to the product manager / buyer in the areas of purchasing, inventory control, forecasting, product development and promotion within the parts and accessories areas.
Applicant Should Possess:
Minimum 3 years experience in the cycling industry directly related to product.
Minimum 1 year clerical / administrative experience
Experience with inventory and purchasing would be an asset.
Must have the ability to work under a minimum of supervision and possess a proactive, energetic work ethic.
Post secondary education with an emphasis in business administration.
Sporting goods retail experience is a strong asset
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
General Outline of Position: The Parts and Accessories PR Coordinator is a full-time position based out of the Norco head office in Port Coquitlam. The coordinator’s primary role is to assist with the overall promotion of the parts & accessories brand categories that Norco distributes excluding Norco bicycles. It will include the following duties:
Press or New Product releases to key magazines/papers/websites
Write & Edit weekly press releases on new products, for web & print media.
Arrange, send out, and follow up on all parts, and accessories for test articles to editors.
Arrange and sending out hi-rez images to media as requested.
Track all media exposure & specifically, any media hits on press releases for all P&A products.
Keep an up-to-date archive of all accessories related print media for the year, as well as, print copies of web media directly related to the brands.
Internal Press Releases for P&A web sites or Norco Monthly Specials, etc
Ensuring that new products and write-ups are posted on the appropriate proprietary websites in a timely manner
Sending out press releases to international & US sales reps for circulation to international media & distributors
Arrange for consumer or shop type testimonials to be posted on the appropriate websites
Maintain FAQ pages on the web sites (getting answers from product managers if necessary).
Content writing & editing for applicable proprietary websites
Ensuring that press releases are posted in a timely manner
Edit any text that appear on the web to ensure it is technically correct
Assist with keeping web content fresh & interesting

Plan for additional items to be previewed and promoted within our E-News with the Marketing Manager
Gather, and edit articles & content that may be applicable for the monthly E-New
Take any additional photos necessary for the E-News, as well as, editing and resizing photos submitted along with articles
Send out content to our translator in a timely manner
Ensure that any articles destined for our E-News are sent to Trisha and Devin in a timely matter each month
Manage & maintain the complete media database details for the Norco E-news and other press release needs.
