Overview

The Optic is a fast-pedaling trail bike that rides with just the right mix of Cross Country efficiency and All-Mountain playfulness. Progressive trail geometry has been carefully tuned across each frame size to give every rider the same optimal fit and ride quality, while A.R.T. suspension delivers both efficient climbing and lively, capable descending. Ride faster, with more control, complete confidence and that feeling of becoming at one with the bike – the Optic gives you a whole new perspective on the trail.

To some, it’s about carving endless ribbons of buff, flowy singletrack. To others, it’s the challenge of punchy trails, technical climbs and off-camber roots. Yes, yes and yes.

Reach & Stack Plus
Reach & Stack Plus

Norco Engineers believe that stem length should be added to

ReachThe traditional “Reach” measurement is the horizontal distance from the center of the bottom bracket/crank to the top middle point of the head tube.
and
StackThe traditional “Stack” measurement is the vertical distance, in centimeters, from the center of the frame’s bottom bracket/crank to the top middle point of the head tube (where the fork passes through the frame).
measurements since it has a significant influence on steering characteristics. “Reach Plus” and “Stack Plus” factor in the stem length and rise, which allow Norco Engineers to achieve optimal fit and handling across each wheel and frame size combination. Varying stem lengths between 650b and 29er help to balance out the inherent handling differences of different sized wheels in addition to head angles and fork offsets.
