CCX or cyclocross bikes are intended for use on everything from paved roads to muddy trails. Cyclocross is a sport that has been popular in Europe since the early 1900’s and involves racing around a cyclocross track approx 3-4km long for up to an hour. Traditionally cyclocross is done in the fall and winter so it is often very muddy.
The features that make good cyclocross race bikes also translate well to the conditions many riders face on recreational or training rides; the need for fender clearance, durability, good brakes, quick handling, and aggressive tires.
A new model has been added for 2008. The Cyclocross CCX SL titanium frame is double butted and offers all the great features of titanium including vibration damping, low weight, and frame longevity.
