Crankworx 2011 – Team, Trials and Tricks

It is that time of year again. The time where it is normal to see Semanuck, Lopes, and Hill in one spot. The time where a liquid induced headache is considered a necessary handicap to level the playing field. That is right, this is Crankworx.

After launching the 2012 bike line to Norco Dealers and international media, it is time to give the public the first peek at the 2012 lineup. Plus, the Norco Team has assembled in Whistler BC for a bit of a reunion. With Ryan Leech, Jay Hoots, Sam Dueck, Darcy Turenne, Angie Hohenwarter, Nick Geddes, and the boys from Dirt all in Whistler for the week, things get interesting. Through the week, Ryan in doing daily demos, Sam is competing in Best Trick and Slopestyle, Darcy hosted the Deep Summer Photo Challenge, The Dirt Norco Race Team is Racing the DH(s) and Jay is riding and inspiring in his usual stoke-inspiring manner. The Norco Team is in full force taking charge of this town they call Whistler. Here are a few photos from the week so far. I hope you enjoy!

  1. Brandon Thyssen says:

A question for sam is how did you become a pro biker?

  2. Sam Dueck says:

Hey Brandon, I always had a goal to be a pro mt biker and it happened because I
Always made sure I had a good attitude and tryed my hardest not
To get frustrated when on my bike and once I though I was good enough and confident enough I decided to try out a competition, and I did
    Really well and thought I
Would enter more. After a few top 5 placings I guess a few companies had been watching and at the end of the season Norco
Contacted me and asked if I
Would like to join there team. That’s kind of a short story how I became a part of Norco.
