Big Wheels Keep On Revolving

The Norco Revolver is an XC/Trail bike that is new to the lineup for 2012. With 100mm of travel and fast-rolling 29″ wheels this is a great bike for fast, flowing trails. Whether you are looking for a marathon race bike or an everyday trail bike, the Norco Revolver could be it.

You don’t have to take our word for it though. The testing team at Mountain Bike Action swung a leg over the Revolver and took a gander on the bike. Have a read through the full review below. If you want to read about more bikes, events and riding tips pick up a copy of Mountain Bike Action at your local newsstand.

A Glimpse at the Aurum following Interbike

Following up on major events we often see sneek peeks at products that have been recently launched. With a small image and a few words to go with it these offer a small insight into what may follow later on. From the 2011 Interbike show, Mountain Bike Action has included an image of the 2012 Norco Aurum and a short description. Check back soon and catch a full review of the bike from another magazine.

The Full Range of Norco in Mountain Bike Action

California Roadtrip – Getting some Mountain Bike Action

Staying in Valencia California, today the Norco Crew meandered over to the High Torque Publications office where Mountain Bike Action is published. The MBA team took us out to the local trails for a rip and then we went out and grabbed a burrito.

The trails that we had the opportunity to ride were fast, flowy and resembled a bit of a downhill pumptrack. Through the railing corners, small booters and a few fast climbs I would suggest to anyone driving through California to stop and go for a pedal. Great trails, great weather and some great riding partners.

After the ride, we grabbed a bite at Las Rocas Mexican Grill then head to the local pumptrack/dirtjumps for Sam to have a quick rip. Day 5 of our trip was great riding, great friends, awesome food and a whole lot of fun.

Here are some photos and another video from the day, check back soon for more updates.

California Road Trip – Day 5 – A breather. . . . almost.

Today was a bit of a breather, after two rides yesterday and minimal sleep over the past week, rest was a welcome opportunity. This morning, we headed back to Mountain Bike Action for a photo shoot of Ryan with photographer John. Watch the upcoming issues as you may see Ryan’s smile popping up.

Mountain Bike Action is a subsidiary of Hi-Torque publications which publishes a total of 8 different magazines including Motocross Action, Dirt Bike, Road Bike Action and BMX Plus. Over the next year watch for possible Norco bike reviews in Mountain Bike action, Road Bike Action and BMX Plus.

After spending the morning in an office environment, a quick pedal was in order. A quick half hour or so on the pump track was an excellent stretch of the legs before the drive south to San Juan Capistrano.  First though, we made a pit stop to say hi to the crew at Marzocchi USA. With Darcy and Ryan both running Marzocchi on their bikes this was great time to stop in and give them a big thanks. After this slight detour we headed further down the I5, We headed south of LA just outside of Laguna to San Juan Capistrano. This is the home of Bike Magazine and Bicycle Retailer. With two rides tomorrow we are looking at another epic day. I cant wait!

Until tomorrow,

California Update – Darcy is coming along for the ride!

Make like a bird and head south. . . .

The upcoming Norco road trip through California is building momentum. As the trip comes together the anticipation builds for some great riding and hopefully a little bit of warmth. This is a common hope, Darcy Turenne has decided to hop on board and join Ryan and I for the trip.

On January 25th Ryan, Darcy and I will be climbing into the Team Van and heading across the border. Our first stop will be riding in Santa Cruz with the Crew from mtbr.com. After spending a day in the area, we will move on to the Valencia area, home of Decline, Mountain Bike and Mountain Bike Action. Then finally through LA to Santa Ana where lies Bike Mag and National Geographic Adventure.

It is always exciting to mountain bike in a new area. The exhilaration of an unknown trail, the excitement of a new peak. I hope to share this adventure with you through a daily post. Be sure to check back Jan. 25th – Feb. 1 for a daily post.

Have any questions for the mags? Post a question and I will find you an answer!
