Another Great Show at the Seattle Bike Expo

This year things were a little different at the Cascade Bike Club‘s annual Seattle Bike Expo. While both Ryan Leech and the German Artistic Cycling Team were absent, each show had an act sitting in its place.

A BMX show was brought in to wow the crowds with a high-flying jump routine and a flatland show that dropped onlookers jaws to the floor. The Ride & Glide Pro BMX Stunt Team put on a great show through both days of the expo.

In the absence of the German’s from the past two years,  Nick Hayden and Wendy Allen came in with their “A Unicycle Built For Two” show. The acrobatic skill of this duo was pretty spectacular.
At the Norco booth we were showing off the latest and greatest in the 2012 lineup. From the Indie to the Aurum the bikes had their game faces on and were aiming to please. Norco Factory Team Rider Jay Hoots was also out signing autographs and teaching skills courses at the show. If that wasn’t enough to catch your attention we gave away a Norco Indie to one lucky Winner from the show. Congratulations to Corey W on winning a new Norco!

Another great year at the Seattle Bike Expo. A big Thank You needs to be sent out for putting on yet another great event. See you next year at the 2013 show.

Another Great Show At The Seattle Bike Expo

This past weekend was the Seattle Bike Expo put on by the Cascade Bicycle Club. The show had more than 300 exhibitors present selling everything from recumbent to recycled tubes. More than 5000 attendees came out to browse, shop and be entertained over the two day event. Norco was present boasting the 2011 lineup to all the eager attendees. Next to the Norco booth, world famous Ryan Leech conducted two trials demos per day in his test of balance and cycling skill. Another draw to the show was the German Artistic Cycling Team. While not your typical entertainment, the trio of riders drew large crowds through the weekend.

A Better Than Ever Seattle Bike Expo

This past weekend the Norco truck and trailer packed up and head down to the 21st annual Seattle Bike expo. Put on by the Cascade Bicycle Club this has become the largest bicycle consumer show in North America. With more than two hundred exhibitors and thousands of consumers showing up the weekend was a flurry of activity. Norco had some near-ceiling-high towers set up with a display of bikes alongside  the latest and greatest from Axiom and Mace.

Next to the Norco setup always seemed to be a mob of people waiting to see the next Ryan Leech Trials Show or Artistic Cycling Demonstration. Having Ryan do 4 shows over the two days was a treat for everyone at the show. Having the Artistic Cycling team as well was simply icing on the cake.

If the expo, the trials demo and the artistic cycling wasn’t enough for you, Ryan was also leading a morning Yoga session both days of the show. A group of yoga enthusiasts showed up each day to partake in Ryan’s class.

With more than 200 exhibitors at the show it took a fair bit of time to see everything. That is if you could actually see everything. Three of the exhibitors present also happened to be Norco Factory Team sponsors FSA, Ergon and Nuun.

Seattle Bike Show – Day 1

Today was the first day of the 2009 Seattle Bike Expo. After spending the better part of yesterday setting up and starting off bright an early today, the show started off without a hitch. With approximately 200 vendors and more than 4000 visitors the show was a bustle of activity.

Taking a moment to look around there was everything from tandems to wooden bikes, retailers to distributors. There were people from all walks of life and all riding styles present. As with most events. . . . pictures speak louder than words!
