'Well, the season is over but not for everyone. I just got a call from Playboy Magazine with a request that I have to jump over a new Nissan Qashqai!

CRUX Film Joins 2009 Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour
Norco Factory Team rider Ryan Leech has recently been honored, along with director Alexander Lavigne, for their film CRUX, which has been selected as a finalist at the Banff Mountain Film Festival.

This honor means that not only is the film up for an award at the festival's Radical Reels evening, but also will be included in the 2009 World Tour.

A CRUX is defined as a particular point of difficulty. This singular word precisely describes the riding formula of the film. Each and every line that the featured athletes, Ryan Leech, Thomas Ohler, and Dylan Korba ride has a CRUX.

Crux is Produced by Ryan Leech and Directed by Alexander Lavigne.

Bike Spotlight - The 2009 Ryde
The 2009 Norco Ryde slots into the Norco lineup as a mid level Dirt/Street bike. There are several features that make this a bike that is great in fashion and function. Here are a few highlights.
seatclamp

Utilizing an integrated seatpost clamp allows for a clean yet functional look. The integration creates an even clamping force while eliminating the bulk and hassle of a traditional collared system.
fork

The Ryde also comes with a colour matched custom pivotal saddle, anodized hubs, and Marzocchi DJ 3 100mm fork.

Interbike 2008 - Trip to Las Vegas
This past week the Norco crew picked up and headed down south to Las Vegas Nevada for the 2008 Interbike trade show. It was here that dealers from North America and around the world were able to see and try out the 2009 product.

The Dirt Demo took place in Boulder City where hundreds of vendors showcased their 2009 product to thousands of retailers. Norco was on site with new product such as the Empire 5, Fluid LT, Shore 1 and many more models.

After two days of Dirt Demo, it was time for the show. Displaying more than 50 bikes from the new lineup, there was a stir about the new bike graphics and parts. Features such as sublimated graphics, custom Funn parts, and cutting edge colours were just a few items being talked about. 2009, also offers a new DH frame platform and specs including Hammerschmidt cranks, Joplin seatposts, Pivotal saddles and Industry 9 wheels.

Tales of the Croatian Sensation
Well first I would like to say that I love Canada, spending time riding in Vancouver and Whistler was yet again, the time of my life.

While in Canada I got my hands on a 2009 Empire five for the whole trip. I found myself thinking, what is the best bike ever? ..and Norco gave me the answer! The Empire rides like a dream. I was able to step up to the plate and ride better than ever thanks to the terrain, the people and the bike.

Being in Whistler I had a chance to try HELI BIKING which was one of my best experiences ever, Heli-biking is by far the most epic and exhilarating ride I have ever completed.Every time I come to Canada there is something new, some new way pushing the limits!

After all the fun we went to do more of it, that was filming with Alex from aliaslabs. This involved everything from foam pit riding to dirt jumps and trails. The video came together and looks awesome. The video shows the world who we are and why we ride!

Darcy came and the fun starts here.
Darcy
We started in Zagreb Croatia and rode Bear Mountain, the next day went to place that I like to call it Small Canada. We rode here for two days then moved on to Istria which in Croatian means Country of Vine. We rode our bikes, wake-boarded, soaked in some rays and enjoyed every second of it all.

I am confident that this is the best Ride Guide show EVER!!!

Cheers for now!
