It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the rugged landscape and abundant precipitation of Canada’s Pacific Coast is pretty much the perfect place to develop and perfect a cyclocross bike. The Threshold revels in the muddy mayhem of cyclocross because that’s where it was proven – the muddy mayhem of BC – we just don’t have as many cowbells as they do in Belgium.
The stiff, lightweight frame’s race-proven geometry means that the Threshold delivers podium-seeking speed along with all the versatility you expect from a ’cross machine while you’re wondering how one hour can take so long yet hurt so good.
The Threshold’s lightweight carbon and aluminum frames feature size-scaled tubing that tunes frame compliance to the needs of every rider. Fatiguing vibrations are damped by curved and ovalized seatstays, bent chainstays, thinned seat tube and top tube and optimized fork blade design.
Refined race-proven cyclocross-specific frame geometry features an open front triangle for easy shouldering and aggressive angles along with a short wheelbase for maximum maneuverability between the tape.
Front and rear 12mm thru-axles plus an oversized head tube junction, downtube, BB shell and chainstays deliver lateral stiffness for maximum power transfer as well as control through rough terrain.
Cables remain hidden and quiet inside the frame, and adaptive routing is compatible with a wide range of modern configurations.
Disc brakes provide incredible modulation, stopping power in all conditions, and the flat-mount calipers offer a clean, lightweight system and an uncluttered look.
