Advanced Ride Technology is a bicycle rear suspension system. It is comprised of a Horst link design, which uses four links: 1) chain stay, 2) seat stay, 3) link-arm and 4) mainframe; the rear wheel is attached to the seat stay with the rear pivot located in front of and below the rear axle. What separates ART suspension from conventional Horst link designs is the pivot point locations which result in a more rearward axle path. The benefits of a rearward axle path are: improved square edge bump compliance, improved pedaling efficiency and increased traction under braking forces. ART suspension is optimized for each intended use from XC Race to DH.
