Winter is the time for Fat Bikes. With snow on the ground and the temperature well below zero in many areas the traditional bike may not be practical. This concept is the source of inspiration for the Norco Bigfoot Fat Bike. Still relatively new on the cycling scene these bikes are taking over your local, snow covered trails. New to the idea as well is Whistler Mountain Bike who recently had their first Fat Bike experience on a Norco Bigfoot.
The fat bike craze had hit last year at interbike. It seemed that the amount of options for bikes had increased exponentially over last year and it has made me finally get up on the horse, so to speak.
The plan was to get the Norco Bigfoot just in time for our usual November start of winter, and the inevitable snow that turns up around then. But mother nature was going to have nothing of that with us this year. If our weather reports haven't been at the top of your internet browsing list over the last two months i can sum it up very quickly.
