TEAMINTRO14Leading up to the first World Cup event of 2014 in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa Team Norco International has announced their complete roster. Keep your eyes and ears tuned for results to be hitting the airwaves very soon!
Seattle, WA - April 3, 2014 - Team Norco International is pleased to announce an expanded roster for 2014 season! Running a World Cup program has a lot of moving parts and people working together, so we wanted to take a minute to recognize everyone who made this program possible before we are in the full swing of racing next week.
“When we built this program, our goals were to ride the best equipment, have a solid image, and win races. I think we accomplished those goals,” says Jill Kintner, 2013 US National DH Champion. “The 2014 expansion came about because people took notice of our hard work and our good relationships across the industry. We wanted to be able to provide an opportunity to riders who have serious talent, but lack the support they need to take the next step. Bryn and I have a lot of experience and know what it takes to manage a team, so we thought having teammates would be fun and exciting while helping them get a solid start. Lorenzo and Isak are a great fit, and we are really happy to welcome them to the team. Big thanks to all our sponsors for believing in us, and for moving forward with the expanded Team Norco International.”
Shuttling at the Team Camp in March to test out the new bikes and have some fun riding in the Pacific NorthWet (West).
Returning to the team are Bryn Atkinson and Jill Kintner. Bryn and Jill have been a powerhouse gravity mountain bike team for several years, founding Team Norco International in 2012 as a privateer effort and besting some World Class results. Since then, the team has successfully competed on not just the World Cup circuit, but also both the North American and Australian circuits. The natural progression was to add two European Elite riders to diversify and expand the team's reach for a truly International mix: Australian, American, Italian, and Norwegian for riders, a British and Swiss mechanic, all of whom are supported by a Canadian Bike company:)

TEAMINTRO14_pgore_140321_norcointl_0046LORENZO SUDING
Italian National DH Champion Lorenzo Suding joins the team as a dynamic character with raw speed and top ten potential, having had several seasons steadily climbing up the World Cup rankings. Versatile on and off the bike--he speaks five languages fluently--the support Lorenzo will receive this year sets him up to be a serious contender.
Lorenzo had this to say about joining the team:
“Joining Jill and Bryn is a dream come true, as I see great benefit in working together, especially on the track. Discussing line choices and tactics will help greatly in race preparation. Inspiration can be linked to change, and this is a great opportunity to build success with Team Norco International.”

Isak Leivsson brings speed, style, and power to the table as a young rider with a calm and collected demeanor. A 3-time Norwegian national champion who has been an independent racer for Norco Bicycles for the past 2 years, Isak is already comfortable with the bikes and thrives under tough conditions. His best result was a 12th at the Hafjell World Cup in his home country in 2012.
Hailing from the United Kingdom, head mechanic--or "Reg the Wrench"as he is affectionally called--has plenty of tricks of the trade, having worked for various teams for over 15 years. He has driven every road in Europe, so he's overflowing with epic stories. Reg is a can do guy who gets things done and makes it very easy for riders to focus. The team values Reg immensely as he helps manage operations on the road while the season is under way.
Our secondary mechanic for the european rounds and North America will be Alain Hall, AKA "Swissy" of Switzerland. Swissy was Bryn and Jill's mechanic in 2012, and became Lorenzo's primary mechanic for 2013 as he lives close to the Italian. Alain has incredible precison with tools, a very strong work ethic, and is committed to making the bikes operate at their best.
For photography needs, Paris Gore will be returning to the team to keep press releases and content for our sponsors rolling. Native to the Northwest, Paris lives very close to our base camp in Seattle, and can deliver photos to suit sponsor requests. Contact for more info.
With the expanded program, and a stealthy new prototype Norco Downhill bike for this season, the team continues with the majority of partners from years past, creating a solid platform for brand recognition. We would also like to welcome new partners; IXS for protection and apparel, Industry Nine for wheels, Maxima for lubes and oils, and Enduro Bearings for bearings. Thank you once again to all of our supporters!
