  • Road Tested: Canadian Cycling Reviews the Tactic SL Disc Ultegra

    December 9, 2015

The December/January issue of Canadian Cycling Magazine features an in-depth review of the Tactic SL Disc Ultegra RS685 race bike built with hydraulic disc brakes and a redesigned high-modulus carbon frame that is lighter, stiffer and more aerodynamic for 2016.

Canadian Cycling editor Matthew Pioro praised the Tactic’s responsiveness, writing: “The frame definitely has some snap. It was great for powering up my local rollers, and when i’d launch a sprint.”

Pioro also noted the complete control of the Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, describing the Tactic as “A speedy bike, even when you’re slowing down.”

“…I have the confidence to scream into a corner faster, or even toward a stoplight. I know I’ll be able to scrub the right amount of speed or stop in a hurry.”
