According to a recent review by Bicycling, the Norco Revolver 9.1 FS is a podium-ready example of everything a cross-country race bike should be – and then some.

    On the Revolver’s handling:

“In corners and when picking through rock gardens, the bike feels small and agile, making it easy, for example, to smoothly negotiate a 180-degree downhill rooted switchback turn that challenges even some 27.5-inch-wheeled trail bikes; and to suddenly switch directions going flat-out into a 90-degree corner.” – Gloria Liu

    On the Revolver’s spec:

“You get a SRAM X01 Eagle drivetrain that pairs the 12-speed, 10-50 cassette with a 34-tooth chainring for a huge range of gears that lets you power through flats and downhills and up steep, grunty inclines. You also get a light and stiff RockShox SID RLC cross-country race fork, and SRAM’s Level TLM brakes, which stop cleanly and quietly.” – Gloria Liu

    The bottom line:

“[The Revolver 9.1 FS] delivers everything you want in a race, on the fastest wheel size, and still has fun when you’re not between the tape. Just one caveat: If you do buy one, you’ll also want to get to training. Because if things don’t pan out in the race, you can’t blame the bike.” – Gloria Liu
