  • Sam Blenkinsop Claims Title at 2018 Oceania Mountain Bike Championships

    February 14, 2018

Following his recent win of the 2018 Dodzy Memorial Enduro, Norco Factory Racing’s Sam Blenkinsop claimed the downhill title of the 2018 Oceania Mountain Bike Championships in Dunedin, New Zealand, this past weekend.

The spirits were high after a sunny first day of practice. However, overnight rain turned the already challenging race track on Signal Hill into a slippery mud fest with slick roots and rocks. Despite the treacherous conditions, Sam stayed focused and raced to his first Oceania title.

The weekend was good, it was sweet to come away with my first Oceania championships and good to ride two days of different conditions; fast and fun first day in the dry, and loose and technical in the wet on second day made for a good time for all. I know the spectators enjoyed watching us. – Sam Blenkinsop
